Congratulations, nice boat. I'm also curious in what speed you are seeing with that stepped hull.

I have only ran the boat once, but there is a little discrepancy, the GPS unit on the boat said 74 and was still climbing, and my phone GPS said 75.9. When we were cruising my phone GPS and the GPS on the boat matched. I am thinking the GPS on the boat wasn't reacting as fast as the phone, as I have used my phone for a base many times and its very accurate. The performance sheet that fountain sent me said 79.3 on the radar. Im not saying that didn't happen, but the conditions they run in aren't typical of our everyday conditions lol. the test date was in November at 10am, was 60 degrees, 12-15kt winds, 1ft chop, and they test in the paamlico river which has a generous current and 50/50 salt/fresh water. Talk about perfect conditions lol

Very nice! And yes I want to visit the river one day and see what my Fountains do out there. lol.

How does the boat feel up top? I hear mixed reviews on how stable the 27's feel (chine-walk) at mid 70's and up...

Felt very solid up top, had the tabs level with the bottom at 2.5, trimmed out to about 5.75ish.

Congrats! That's a fast 27 for sure. Enjoy! The fountain factory is very helpful if you need parts in order to make your boat like new.
