On my 32 raising the tabs above 3 didn't get me any more speed. Some even have stops from the factory.

Do the 502 mpi's like to be spun to 5300?

boatnt what rpm did you see with the Bravo's.

I checked and if your 74 was at 5000 it is just about the same prop slip I have with 28 hydro's at 83. Like Drew asked, how many hours?

I am running right around 5050RPM

I would think 5300 RPM is too high for a stock 502.

I think it actually states 4900-5100RPM on the spec tags on the motors.

My boat also a 99 with 502 mpi's hydro 26's spinning in with close to 500 Hr's fresh water @ 4900 rpm run's 77 with a normal load of chit for the weekend and half tank of fuel. Drives at 5 tabs at 3 since that is where they stop with the rubber stoppers. I would think you should see 74-75 with that boat no problem.

Do you know if the props have been re worked at all? What kind of shape are they in? Also just to note my boat going from Lake Erie to Lake Cumberland loses a couple of MPH. Different environment.

i really don't know if the props have been messed with, they are in good shape tho don't look to have been beaten on. I've only owned the boat about 4 weeks had it at cumberland for a weekend with flat water and 60-78 degree days.

Congratulations ?

5 people under 150lbs ? Must be all females. Congrats on that too !

If guys mixed in, seems weird. I don't think I know one guy under 15yrs old under 150lbs. maybe it's where i live. LOL.
