Fountain outdrives spin opposite direction of the formula drives and this make a difference for docking but adds to top end. I have owned both older formula and fountain and there is a big difference in docking but my 97 fountain better in my opinion at every other speed. I have not driven a fastec? Reverse prop direction counters the ability to spin props in different directions and turn the boat since pitch is working against it. Also if I reverse my engine farthest away from the pier it pushes me further away. Fountain spec sheet says 1997 with 500 hp/470 prop hps runs 75 mph at the factory quad 4 props. 70 mph with 415s so to get to 80 my guess 550 hp?If you test them let us know!

Just discovered both props, forward props spin to port and secondary rotate to starboard. Don't know if that makes a difference, got to check the props....
