35 Staggered Prop Choice
I know there are allot of threads on this topic. I have a 07 35 Staggered Lightning Sportmaster/525’s. Currently running 7 blade Herrings and having a hell of a time getting on plane. Once on plane cruising speed is great. I have a set of 32 pitch Bravos that I ca n try. Any thoughts on running the 32’s would be appreciated. Thanks.

What ratio ? I know of one that has same motors etc.staggered and has 1.36. he runs 30P Maximus that have been worked and cupped. Runs close to 100. You should have no problems getting on plane with 7 blades. Do you have the aeration valve open ?

I don't think you'd have much better luck with the 32's unless a lot of cup were added to them.
Would like to meet up on the water some time and see if there's any tricks to share that would help with planning routine. Those 7 blades should be the ticket. Do they have the extended hub ?

I have run several different props on my Fountain, the biggest thing for getting on plane is gradual acceleration, I also added a second switch to my throttle for the trim tabs.

Off the top of my head I don't know the ratio but can find out.
I do believe the aeration valve is open but will double check.
Seems to blow out real easy when trying to get on plane. I'm gradually adding throttle slowly.
Yes, extended hubs. Ill take a better pic of them.

The 32 bravos will be even harder to plane - I have 2 sets of maximus as well as a set of 6 blade herings with extended hubs. The herings are easiest to plane. They will slip and cavitate with too much throttle or raising the tabs too soon. They take a while to get on plane, nature of the beast. If it really bugs you, you can add a spacer to the lowers, BBlades has a test program to help dial it in.
