98 42 fountain twin 500's
42 hull bottoms

i was looking at fountains on trader on line when i noticed that the bottoms on the big power #6 boats have the strakes going all the way up to the bow keel like they used to be on the pre 98 hulls, and also there seemed to be a difference in the steps and their location. i can understand moving the steps for better balance on the big power with #6 drives but not sure about the chines. can anyone explain ? i wasnt sure why they moved the chines in the first place back in 98. i think reggie probably has as good if not better understanding on steps then most imho.
