Question Fresh water inlet?

I think I have this figured out but I want to verify. I see on the swim platform a hose connection. I believe this allows you to hook up to a dockside water connection instead of using the water in the tank. Most boats have a fresh water tank fill buy the gas tank fill. Typically it is similar to the waste and fuel fill connections. The 47 does not have one of these to fill the fresh water. I am curious where the fresh water tank fill is. There is another hose connection under the engine hatch on the port side by the rear bench. Does this fill the tank? The hose routes into the gunnel and from there I cannot see, it's filled with foam. The connector is at the very top of the attached picture.

Also does anyone know what the holding capacities are for fresh and Black water?

Thanks.

Ray,
My 32' has a fresh water fill on the port side at the front of the engine compartment. The fill on my swim platform is for engine flushing. The freshwater tank is in the hull side aft of the cabin bulkhead.

Don't feel bad.

We went and looked at our new boat two weeks ago and had the same question. Found the fuel fills, waste pump out and two water fittings on the transom. I know one is for the city water hook up but did not find the one for the fresh water fill. If we get it this weekend I will defintely be looking and will update you as to what we find.

There I let the cat out of the bag. No longer a Black Thunder owner.

My 32' also has the fill for the sink holding tank in the engine compartment. But my tank sits next to the port motor. I have warm water when I have been running for a while.

43 Thunder...Congrats...that is one hech of a boat you purchased, as a new 38 SC owner, I can say I absolutely love mine...to bad the season is almost gone for me.

Raypanic, I had the same question when I received my boat and it took a little trails and error. I have 2 inlets on my port side and one in my engine bay on the port side. The one tucked just above my swim platform, but below my engine hatch, is my fresh water fill and the one on the riser above the swim platform is my shore hook-up, the one inside is fresh water flushnfor the engines.

Thanks 38SprtCruzKev,

We hope to have it delivered this weekend. I really hope this is the last time we have to buy for a while.
