South Shore Thunderboat Blast!
It is a bit early but I am curious to see if there would be any real interest in a Funrun on Long Island Sound. I do not know the first thing about setting up something like this but it would think it should not be too difficult. I trailer a 29 out of the Port Jeff, LI area and would like to set something up for the early part of the season...maybe first or second weekend in May or the like. Let me know whos out this way.

My thought was a single day deal, leave in the AM from a prearranged start go to wherever will serve lunch, etc. and return. This might not appeal to someone that has to trailer any type of distance. Anyone out there have any suggestions? I was thinking of starting in western LI sound and running to Huntington Harbor for lunch at a place called Coco's. They have a docking facility that would hold about six boats or twelve if we "double park". I would have to check and see if they are OK with it, can't see why not since at that time of year they probably do not have too many customers using the dockage. Let me know.

That could work, I have quite a bit of time on the South Bay but others may find the low water intimidating especially with labbed props!! Where are you located?

OK, South Shore sounds good and the water is a bit more predictable...not that it can't get snotty but I feel it would be a bit more hospitable then the Sound. Let's see who else hits the thread. BTW, do you know a guy in Patchogue named Eric who runs a performance boat shop? I was at a shop that had two blown big blocks he was about to put into a 35...that you?? Later,
