Herrings on a 38!
I was just wandering if anyone knows anything about the new 6 blade herrings. I bought a set a few months ago and haven't got to run them on my boat yet. The guys out at herring thought i would definately see some speed pick up but i was just wandering if anyone has tried them out yet?

Are these for bravo's or SSM's? What kind of power?

If you don't mind tellin............What kind of $$$$$ did those new Herrings cost???

The boat is an 03' with bravo xr drives. It has staggered 700's and we ran 95 with a set of 34p bravo 1's and 97 with a set of hydromotive p-5's 32p. One thing though was my drives didn't have any kind of nose cone so this winter we had some imco lowers put on, just the cases. The herrings cost me about 4000 for the set. they are 6 blade 31p. Hope to get to that 100 mark!!!

I thought you might of had SSM's on your boat. I've got SSM V's and I heard the price for a pr of those props was around 10K. That's alot of $$$ to spend for trial and error, maybe it might go faster, maybe it wont.
There's no guarantee, and there no refund.
I hope they workout for your application, you're real close to 100 right now.

that is what i heard too about the herrings for SSM's but heres the deal with my props. Jim i believe is the guy's name out at Herring, i may be wrong. when i talked to him and ordered my props he said he would give me like a certain amount of time to try my props out and if they didn't work out good then he would make me another set free of charge. 4K is a lot less than 10K but i'm sure he understands that is a lot of money either way and would do the same thing for a set of those. maybe not, but you would just have to give him a call and find out.
