Default Good place to watch from land?

Anyony have a idea of the best spot to see from land. I'll be in sarasota this week and want to come down for the weekend activities!

As you come over the bridge, just head straight out to the beach. The Pink Shell Hotel is a little north(or to the right) as you come across the bridge, and south for a mile or so, on "Fort Myers Beach." Out on the Fishing Pier is another good spot. I am sure some of the other guys here can give you even more info.

Here's a map of the race course superimposed over a google earth view of fmb... anywhere along that straightaway should be good.
