I got my new prop, and the tides look favorable for Sat, so all I have to worry about is if I can get my wife on the boat. It would be her maiden voyage on the Skater.

Is lunch planed for at Tarpon Point or at Rum Runners?

Lunch at Tarpon Point ( no charge ) then some social time over at Rum Runners.
Hope you can get the wife aboard Frank and that she gets a good ride. Maybe you can meet us up near Useppa Island just after 11:30 AM before we work our way back south?

Near Useppa Island, or somewhere in the area, was what I was thinking, I will let you know for sure later in the week. My wife Nancy has never been in this boat, if fact, of my last 6 boats, she has only been in 1, the OuterLimts. I will most likely go South along the ICW through Pine Island Sound, so she enjoys the ride.

Sounds like a great day, all depends on the weather now.

We are leaving Ohio at 6am Wednesday. We are driving straight through.
If the plans change, let us know.

Dennis. I would like to do something a bit different. Wondering about breaking out of the intercoastal waterway and going north on the east side of Useppa Island into Charlotte Harbor then go west and get back in the intercoastal southbound. We would completely circle Useppa Island doing that. I would want to make sure the tide was up. I am going to look at a few things and then maybe post a proposed route weather permitting. I need to do something different.

This is a Google Earth view of the River, Tarpon Point, Rum Runners. Punta Rassa and the Sanibel Bridge are at the bottom of pic.

How about the gulf or icw to Charlotte Harbor and back thru Matlacha Pass. Some 25mph zones, but differant.

Harry. I like that idea of going back south thru Matlach Pass for something different. I have never gone that way. Has anyone in our group ever done that ? What can we expect? Anyone familiar with it enough to want to lead the way? So many questions, so few answers ! LOL
