F1 racing is action packed and a blast to watch. All of the tunnel boats are fun, it is like unlimited racing used to be. They always have several classes at the events too. The SST45's should be there along with the 120's and possible some of the stock hydros wich you have to be a nut job to drive, over 100 MPH in a 200 pound piece of birch plywood and some epoxy. I crew for a 2 boat 45 team out here on the west coast and honestly it is some of the most exciting racing out there. They use the lemans start format, boats backed up to the beach with a crew member holding them and when the flag drops they all fire and take off heading for the same buoy, lots of deck to deck racing throughout the race and usually a bit of rubbing, they turn like they are on rails when they are setup right.
I would definitely recommend that you go see the event, take the family and have a great day. I know it is not offshore racing but it is worth it to go see.
