How is the boating in Cape Coral? How closely do you have to watch the water depths and is the water clear and do the beaches have white sand? How nice is the area? We usually rent a place in Destin but are thinking of renting a place on the Bimini Canal. What are you thoughts and thanks?

Destin is way nicer. lived in fort myers 15 years. The river is now 25 mph. Yes you have to watch the markers. No its not clear it black from the river run off. The beaches are nice. so long as there is no red tide. I hang out on caocosta. south end of boca grand pass.
