Visiting Bonita Springs next week - suggestions?

My g/f and I are flying to FL on friday and spending the week in Bonita Springs with my family, who are driving down from IL. BobtheBuilder gave me a good suggestion on renting a boat in Naples and checking out Keewaydin Island. Any other recommendations for things to do, places to go, restaurants, bars, etc?

Thanks!
John

Also wondering if any boat rental outfit is better than the others.

I also haven't been to the Keys before. Kicking around taking the fast cat down there. Worth it?

YES, Take the cat to Key West, and Docks Beach house for lunch, as far as boat rental places, not sure, but I know there is one right on Bonita Beach Road, Might want to make sure it has GPS, because there are some shallow areas around there.

I would recommend boat rental from Naples Bay Resort. Their fleet of boats is new and well equipped. They are on US 41 near the Gordon River. Good access to the bay. Here is a link to their website.

Yes the cat to key west is a blast. I am actually heading down Tomorrow. I would try and spend the night down there because the boat lands in key West around noon and you have to be onboard to leave at 5pm. One day is just to short.

How about some good lodging in KW for just one night? Seems like most places have a minimum stay.

Ditto what Don said. We're going down next month for a weekend.

If you find a rental that siuts you, Lovers Key is cool and you can nose the boat up like at Keywaydin.
