Default Skater boating, Labor Day wknd, Boca Grande, FL

This Labor Day weekend, we took the Skater to Boca Grande beach on Sat.

We left from the lift behind the house, on the Myakka river about 10:00am, and traveled South down Charlotte Harbor, and then turned West to Boca Grande Pass, out into the Gulf, and then North to a quite spot on the beach.

After several hours on the beach with fish swimming and jumping all around us, and several pods of dolphin, we began to head back. It was a 58.7 mile round trip, and I burned 25.3 gallons of 93 octane fuel. That’s 2.285mpg.

Here are some pictures, enjoy.

We actually ran out Boca Grand Pass and ran up to Redfish Pass and came back in as we needed to start dodging the thunder boomers. What a nice day to be on the Gulf!

Yep, we never got the thunderstorms. The Gulf was geat, calm seas, gentle rollers, dolphins everywhere.
