Default Skater trip to Cayo Costa, FL

Earlier today, I put lowered the Skater into the water, went out the Myakka River, down Charlotte Harbor, through Boca Grande pass, into the Gulf, and a few more miles South, and anchored up in 3 feet of water off Cayo Costa island.

The harbor was blowing pretty good, but since the wind was from out of the East, the Gulf was flat.

It was a 63.2 mile trip, and I burned 27.5 gallons of 93 octane, that's 2.3mpg.

Yes it is rough, but somebody has to do it!

We have a really great power boat club down here, I am a charter member, and you should check us out. In the 2009-2010 season, we had 6 runs from Oct to April.
