Yesterday on Marco Beach ….. nasty.

Marco Beach today. Much improved as the winds have lightened some and swung around to NE ( onshore ) as predicted.

Hans & his kids are going to drive up to Harpoon Harry's freeing up some seats on my boat. I am happy to offer 2 or 3 seats in exchange for a suitable donation to FMO's designated charity, our student scholarship fund. I'm thing $ 100 per seat or $ 250 for all 3 might be appropriate but am open to anything you think is reasonable. If you are in the Cape Coral / Ft Myers area I can pick you up at the Punta Rassa boat ramp on the north side of the Sanibel Bridge close to our starting point for the run.

Bob any chance of adding a late entry? Tom Wilhelm, 42' Fountain with a total of three in the boat. Tom was thinking he wouldn't be able to make it but he got things worked out. Thanks, Bob

We would be happy to see Tom back again, Bob. He will need to be along the seawall so tell him if there is no space there to go into the Marina. I will make them aware. Ask Tom to bring along a copy of his insurance for us if he can or to provide that info on the website under " Membership". I always build in an allowance for late entries. I will update the list now as there are a couple more as well.

Thanks,

Bob

Bob note: Looks like the wind has picked back up some. The good news is that it remains north east. We will not run an offshore group. All boats will run the ICW. I expect that we will find Charlotte Harbor to be choppy.

10 of the 30 boats tomorrow will be making their first ever FMO run with the club. Also there will be 9 centre consoles on the run. It is great to see the keen interest in FMO as word spreads about the best little club in America !

I spent a good part of today with John O'Neil showing him the local waters around Marco Island. John just took delivery of his new 32' Renegade and he loves it as I do mine. Here is a preview of John's new boat.

We got out on the water today also, John's Renegade looks as nice as yours Bob, we took the new pup on her first boat ride, she's only 13 weeks old, we're trying to break her in while she's young so we can take her out with us on the boat, she was perfect, but so was the weather, a little windy, but nothing to worry about, looking forward to tomorrow and meeting some of the new folks.

Beautiful boat John.
