With the size of our group we have decided to run an "offshore" group as well as an "ICW" group and all meet at Burnt Store. Departure time and place remains the same. Eric is tied up for a while so has asked me to help set it up. Please check back here later and I will have more details posted by early afternoon.

With the high boat count for our run to Burnt Store Marina and many of them wanting to run “ offshore “ Eric has decided to have 2 separate groups with 1 group running the ICW and the other offshore of Sanibel / Captive and entering Charlotte Harbor via Boca Grande Pass. Eric will be the paceboat for the offshore group in his MTI flying the yellow flag and we will be designating someone else to pace the ICW group. We have found in the past when running 2 groups that we are best to keep the boats separate in 2 distinct groups at the start to minimize confusion. We are asking that those boats wanting to run the ICW that they mill prior to start in an area closer to the fishing pier at the south end of Sanibel Island and the offshore group will mill in our usual spot just south of the Sanibel Bridge / Causeway. The paceboats should not be passed until the flags are lowered. CAUTION: With the tide low the offshore group should not cut across the shoal shown on the attached map as that area is becoming increasingly shallow and the ICW group should always stay within the marked channel.
