FMO 2017/18 Event Schedule
The FMO board of directors is proud to announce the 2017/18 event schedule. This will be the 12th season for FMO. We look forward to seeing you this winter. Thank you to all the board members for all the work done throughout the year.
While most FMO events are free of charge to paid up club members, we will also continue our tradition of having two designated fund raising events in support of the clubs student scholarship fund. In addition we will have our usual 50/50 draws and clothing sales in support of our designated charity. Thank you, Eric Belisle, Bob Barnhart, Hans Haedelt, Bill Lemanske, Meghan Brousseau, Drew Phyfe and Bill Forenski 2017/18 FMO event schedule Event #1 – Saturday October 7th. Lunch run to South Seas Island Resort on Captiva. This is not a designated overnight run but some members might want to stay the weekend. Event #2 – Saturday October 28th. Fun run to Miller’s Dockside at Boca Grande. Event #3-Saturday November 25th. Thanksgiving fun run to the Captain’s Table at Harpoon Harry’s (Designated fund raising event) Event #4 – Saturday December 30th. New years fun run to C.J.s on the bay, in esplanade complex, Marco Island. (Designated fund raising event) Event #5 – Saturday January 27th. TBD Event #6 – Saturday March 3rd. Fun run to Burnt Store Marina. Lunch on the deck at Cass Cay Event #7 – Saturday March 31st Beach raft up at Cayo Costa. Event #8-Friday April 20th-Sunday April 22nd. Weekend run to the Vinoy in St Petersburg Notes: 1. All events start from the south side of the Sanibel bridge at 11:00 AM. We usually start the overnight runs at 10:00 AM. 2. All events are completed at the lunch stop and boats are free to leave on their own accord after lunch. The exception is the two weekend runs to the Keys and Sarasota. 3. Roll call and details of each fun run event will be sent out to the membership by e mail approximately 10 days prior to the event date. Details will also be posted on FMO’s Facebook page and on an event thread in our forum on OSO 4.
