Loto Strip Under 500 Million Dollar Renovation

I have been hearing and reading all the articles about the bagnell dam strip being leveled by bagnell dam dev. llc and putting over 250,000 sq.ft.shopping mall, boardwalks, condos, marinas, bars, and restaurants, fun stuff for kids. The lake has been overwelmed with brand new businesses restaurants, new bars, new marinas, tons of new housing, Imean 2 5 million dollar estates on the lake. 150,000 dollar boat docks with wet bars, bathrooms, party decks, 5 wells, and porta cima waterfront lake front footage over 2500$, crazy. It is already a nightmare on the weekends, and all the ozark officials say full steam ahead on building. I dont think there is even close to the infrastru8cture needed to accomadate any more people, the lake is crowded already this early. Went to salty dog saturday to eat and see the new water bar overlooking the lake and could'nt find a seat. The new bar is very cool, and Dale Blue is going on very soon, so I guess get em up get em up, survey says slam em and everybody be careful have a great summer.

The couple of times I've been all the way to the dam, it was NOT busy at that end. I guess if you had to put up new attractions to get to by water, that end of the lake is as good a place as any... wide, deep, and not as busy as the 54 Bridge area... might spread out the boats a bit more???

I disagree I think it should be left alone, the lake is getting far too commercialized and in a sense the strip and the dam itself are the two only historical aspects left.
Regards

Re: Loto Strip Under 500 Million Dollar Renovation

I personally am looking for l.f. property toward Linn Creek area around MM31. It seems more calm down there yet easy to get to from STL (on the East side of lake) and is not too far from all the 21 MM action.
The irony is that I would probably have to sell my boat to build.....dumping me into the lowly ranks of a jet ski rider
