Think about the heat a converter makes. They will have to be waterjacketed for sure. How heavy do you think that will be? And 2 per motor!!

If that is indeed the case, there will be a "grandfather" clause for old boats and it would apply only to new boats being produced. I'm all about being "Old School" !!! :evilb: :evilb:

That would mean that all the "old" boats would increase in value  . I hope it doesn't happen though.

It would be really tough to put cats on boats. Operating temps of 600 degrees plus and the rich mixtures marine engines run would spell cat fires for sure. As for the muffler law, don't sweat it. We have one and as long as its a "sound muffling device", its legal, no matter how loud your boat is :)

So far the only legislation I'm finding in regards to boats is:
S.421

And that's not a threat. Unless I'm missing some good search words, nothing is showing up for the current Congressional Session. :evilb:

You can search Legislative information at http://thomas.loc.gov/

I bet if school house rock were still on the air every saturday, some of the posts on this and other forum boards would be easier to read and understand. Seems like being semi-literate these days is good enough for kids :( I am going to try and find that dvd for my daughter to watch :)
