My wife & I had gone to Atlantic City Friday night for an outstanding dinner at Carmines in Tropicana and ventured into some gambling along the way. I hit the card tables while she hit the machines. We both made deposits to the casino... ( Hopefully some of that will go towards the boat race in July....)
I thought for sure I would have been rewarded after having most of the huge family style dinners boxed up for a good deed. I felt horrible to see the food go to waste and we certainly could not take it home, so I brought it out to the Boardwalk looking for a homeless person. Surprisingly none was to be found. (Then again, I didn't look under the boardwalk..) There was this one guy on his (bike cart) offering us a ride. I asked if he was hungry and he said, "Hell yes!!!" I offered the food to him and he was so grateful as if he had not eaten for days...
Well, I wasn't rewarded for the good deed in the casino, but when I got home there was a gift waiting for me on the door step.
God works in mysterious ways....
There I found boxed up several DVD's from Freeze Frame Video. Amazingly one of the DVD's was the second year I raced with the team Shockwave. Trump's Castle World Championships Oct. 17th, 1989 in Atlantic City
The other was "Crashes" They Swam Away #1, and a few others.
If any of you have not seen the AC Race, this is "A MUST HAVE DVD!!!" It brought back all those bone crushing swells that I have long forgotten... Jersey is known for it's BIG WATER! This DVD is pure proof of that!
