Talked to my buddy, it wasn't him.
He told me that the guy had just put Star Board on the bunks (for launching at shallow ramps, makes it slick) anyway the winch strap broke and it was not tied down in the back.
He also said that the drives took most of the hit and the bottom was not that bad.
