B&G Net Engine System
I asked about an alternative to Floscan a while back and somebody suggested a lookk at the B&G Net Engine System.
I just got it and what a bargain...it does a lot more than just fuel consumtion. The thing will display Fuel Rate, Fuel Used, Economy in GPH, Coolanat Temp, Batt Voltage, Engine Hours, and there are about 6 external alarms that can be interfaced.
Installation requires just pluggining in to the GM Engine Diagnostic port.
This might be a complete alternative to Smartcraft at a LOT lower price--and it would make a sweet looking dash too-
More to follow with pcitures when I get camera from the house.

Re: B&G Net Engine System
Here ares 2 pictures of the B&G Net Engine display. It's about 3" X 3" and connects to engines via cable included. It requires on;y one wire and a ground to get the data from the MEFI's and set-up/calibration looks as easy as using my RINDA tester.
The only things they didn't include in the kit were the special Delphi connectors for plugging in to the Datalink plugs---the 10 pin and the 4 pin.
The dyd give me a MarinePower part number for them so I'm going to try and order this morning unless anyone knows a GM part number.
So far I'm impressed--total price was $450 for both engines and install is so simple it's beautiful--one wire to master engine/1 wire from master to slave engine adn 12V connection.
