Trailer parts source

who has the best prices? I'm switching over from surge to electric brakes and would like to get some diamond plate aluminum fenders fro a triple axel trailer?

surge suck! I'm sick of working on them.If you start off the season with them perfect adjusted, bled to perfection you might get one trip with good brakes then you can start all over again. Daves new manning came with electric...... it cost me about $65 per axel to replace linings or I can buy all new electric from the backing plates up for $75 per axel. I priced the parts on line complete with controller at less than $300 just need to weld up the tongue.

Interesting, I think I am going to use surge brakes w/ discs not drums for my trailer. I have always thought of surge as being the simpler of the two. I never had any problems on my snowmobile trailer and that was after thousands and thousands of miles with only annual maintenance. Why not have Roland take care of tongue and fenders?

Before you spend the time and money changing over, you should try driving one with electric brakes. I had electric before and I prefer surge. The braking effect is more proportional to load. Any large trailer with drums is going to brake poorly. Change to disks if you want good brakes. BTW if you still want to change, I have a used controller you can have free.

Thanks Ian I'll take the controller! I've pulled the electric brake trailers in the past and liked it.....did you adjust the controller for the load?

I adjusted it as much as I could. Maybe I missed something. Send me your address in a pm. I'll send it right out.
