Re: Boatlifts why do they cost more than a car ?

Speaking from experience, the Boat Lift Apparatus should be in the range of approx. $5,000.oo USD. for a 10,000 lb capacity Lift, Motors, Controllers and I-Beams. All you would need after that is the 4-pilings and the LAbor to install.

Regarding the "walk-around" is nothing more than stainless diamond plate that can be purchased anywhere in the world and welded or bolted to the I-Beams.

Shipping to Europe should be approx $1,000.00 including the paperwork if shipped via ocean freight.

I would think the guy was looking to take advantage of your situation

My problem with that solution is waterdebth there are 15 feet of water under the boat and within 2 - 3 years we must move the bridge to another location. but thanks for your suggestion !
