Dirty deck need help

Whats a good product to clean a smooth gel coat deck? The deck has deep dirt and grime buildup that actually makes portions of it a little yellow. Also, when looking at it very close, I can see little black speckles all over the deck the size of pin holes. The boat is an 1988 and has been poorly cared for but the deck doesn't have any oxidation. Only deep dirt. I was thinking of on-off but didn't know if that would be to strong. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

To get the "yellow tint" off the deck, use either On-Off or Muriatic Acid in a spray bottle...the yellow will come right up. For washing, try using a degreaser such as Simple Green. You can spray on some Black-Streak Remover on the dry deck and then wash it with Or-Pine Wash & Wax soap. If that still doesnt work...compound and wax!

You might have to use rubbing compound, buff it and wax it depending on how deep the dirt is. You can also wet sand it to remove the surface imperfections. But I would try the chemicals first. 3M makes a good rubbing compound that you can use with a high speed polisher that works very well.

mslr11 and RollWithIt have the right concept. mslr11 is speaking of several chemicals such as alkalines, acids and bleaches.

GripIt - Give me a call 610.539.3295. I have specialty chemicals that can help you in the cleaning process. You'll need a couple steps. I am happy to help a fellow OSO'r.
