Default 5500 or 6000 rpm chip without MSD ?

Is there a way to upgrade to a 5500 or 6000 rpm chip on a stock mecruiser without upgrading to a MSD ignition ?

Currently my stock setup is limited to 5200

I will soon have an entire Crane ignition system I'd sell you cheaper than you can get it new (has one full season on it, maybe 45 hours). You can dial in your own rev limit 100 rpm at a time with this system.

Need to get out to my boat and tear the motor out... going back to stock everything. 330 hp, merc ignition, everything.

Not sure what that is but sounds like it will do what I'm needing. What is cheaper than I can get it new ?
