Dave congrats on your new boat!!!
Is this the boat that I heard rumours about that is going to run F1? What ballpark speed are you looking at in the 4500-4900 lbs range? Thanks in advance for your response and may you have continued success!!

Re: New Hats are in !!!
Hey Trent, I am pulling the boat up from Grant's on Wednesday and want to weigh it at a scale on the way up. All joking aside, the boat probably weighs in at around 4500 pounds. Mark and I were talking about this yesterday. Dave

Wardy,
The rolling eyes wasn't there to call your claims suspect, they were there wondering. I have to tell ya those specs are awesome out of a loaded 4500 pound 29 foot boat with 496HO power. Its almost to the point that it makes everyone else look foolish. Please keep us informed with final specs.

Re: New Hats are in !!!
Thats in incredible speed with that set-up. My 30' single engine stepped hull with a 502 Mag, Headers, Vortech Supercharger with the fuel kit installed at AZSM, at 4400lbs cant hit 80mph. I cant imagine what your hull would run with my power, 600 + hp. Most of the 496's I've seen are lucky to get into the mid 60's. How many steps? Is the X dim high? How does it do out of the hole and through the midrange? What kind of speed are you seeing at 3800/4000 rmp's? Nice job by the way, not criticizing at all, just in amazment..........

I'm running a 28' Eliminator Eagle with a 525 and a 26p prop and hit 70 at 4800rpm. I need to work on the right prop to get the rev limiter and MAYBE I'll hit 75. I bet Bob Leach would like to know the secret of your hull!
And like others, not calling BS, just interested to hear what you pulled out of your hat that made this possible.

The race setup canopied SVL will get mid-90's with a 525hp Vortec HP3. The numbers are amazing, but nothing short of what Extreme's been doing for quite some time now. Having driven the Vortec SVL boat, I can only say, the boat is incredibly fun to drive.
Way cool, guys! The boat's looking great.
