Talk to Downtown42 (he's from the Milwaukee area), I know he was entertaining the possiblibity of running across the lake that weekend.

I already mentioned it to Downtown42...it didn't sound like he was going across. That was about a month ago...maybe things have changed. Thanks for the suggestion though!

They have that big ferry boat that comes across Lake Michigan from Milwaukee to Muskegon a couple of times per day and will take on vehicles as well as trailers too. Might be a good way to avoid the traffic and get to SOTW with little trouble. It's worth checking out the ferry (or whatever you call it).

They will take a semi truck/trailer across. I would imagine it's not cheap to cross with a truck and boat, but cheaper than the cost of gas to run the boat across.

Re: SOTW roll call

Well I looked. You could NOT take the Patriyacht across on the ferry. Here's what it says:

one way round trip

Automobile* $59.00 $118.00
Trailer** $50.00 $100.00

Towed trailer, 8 feet long; each additional foot above 8 feet is $5.
Max height is 8 feet 6 inches. Max width is 8 feet. Max length is 18 feet
