Elastic-strap goggle-type is best for running hard.
I frequently have to turn, to speak to passengers in the aft seat. For example: - "don't try to pick that up right now, you IDIOT" . . . the wind will whip your $245.00 Maui Jims off your face quicker'n sh"t, when you turn your head. Guard-Dogs are the best for the hard-running. At idle, you can put on your $245.00 Maui Jims, and look fabulous as you approach the docks. Keep a couple pair of WallySpecials for your passengers. Even the most seasoned skipper WILL scuttle his specs at some point. Have some backups. SPY ( less than $100 ) is a good choice for those who don't want to go the 'goggle' route, yet still have good aero's for hard-running, while still looking fabulous at the docks. Interchangeable lenses is a SPY plus. . . . |

Re: Boating eye wear
I use Guard Dogs too. Not the one's in the thread above. I get the Pure Bred Combo. Clear lense for night and smoke for day. When I am not running I just put on my regular sunglasses.
