I called my agent and told them what is was, rated hp and everything, $1500 a year. But I also have my house, my trucks and everything I owned insured through them. The 35' Cig I was looking at was $1300 a year. Hard to argue with an extra couple hundy for this. I think I'll pay a couple years in advance to lock it in. :D

In the position I'm in right now, this one just made more sense, that is, as much sense as buying a boat can make. Plus I'd be pissed if I was rolling along tapped out at 70 in the Cig and someone passed me. I'd have to rebuild everything and throw lots more money at it, not to mention the feed bill on a pair of big blocks didn't exactly excite me. I'm going to cruise this for a while and the see where I end up from there. :D

Be careful, once they request a survey and need pics you may have a problem. Does not matter what you have with your insurance company, they sell the boat off to another underwriter and there in lays your problem.

I am 55, no tickets, don't drink, no accidents, they have my plane insurance and Cig insurance and they canceled the cat after 4 years of insuring it.

It doesn't bother me because I do not have a loan on the boat. If you do have a loan you have to maintain insurance and may have to go through Lloyd's. Get out your check book and forget your house payment.
