Default Boating in the Delaware River

Any of you guys boat in the Delaware river? There is a few of us from New Jersey and we usually hang out at the National Park Island south of Philadelphia. Where are your cool hang outs and what kind of boat are you running?

I went by there last weekend. Ended up going to the marina next to the Lagoon for a "river jam" party. they had 15 bands come through during the day/night.

We usually run the boat more north. hang at the tullytown cove in the afternoon, then run somewhere for dinner down the city.

Russ,
Where do you launch? I did Hargroves for 10 years and Gloucester City ramp last year but they aren't open this year and have only gone to Hargroves once this year. Usually hung out in the cove just south of the island in West Deptford(Riverwinds). Due to the oil spill last November I've been avoiding the place somewhat this year. Been launching at Burlington NJ or Delaware City De.
Tenitve plans call for the Chesapeake Saturday , launching at Salem NJ or Del. City but very likely be out there this Sunday , keep an eye out

Keep boat in DredgeHarbor Dry storage. Usually head north to Sandbar that's under RT 295.

I usually hang out up north at the Tullytown cove. Come up this way, a lot less oil in the water. Some good parties in the back.

He was out and I'm sure is was running between Burlington and Penn's Landing.

Tullytown cove is just north of the turnpike bridge on the left.

Heading north up river-the first cove on the left hand side just past the turnpike bridge. There is a small marina in the cove. We usually are on the back side of the cove.

You guys that hang in the cove don't you feel the water is dirty? I always feel like I got a film on my sin after swimming in the cove.
