Anyone near S. Florida Trailers that can give me some help?
I need a new fender for my dual axle S. Florida Trailer. It got bent & generally damaged at a flooded ramp right after last years hurricanes.
Anyway, I've been trying to get one from S. FL Trailers & they will sell it to me for $75, plus shipping. The problem is they won't give me a shipping amount unless I (get this) fax them a copy of my drivers license, and the front and back of the credit card I want to use.
Maybe it's just me being paranoid, but that just seems incredibly stupid for me to do. Why not just set myself up for easy fraud & give a copy of my S.S. card as well? I offered to mail them a cashiers check for the entire amount to prevent any chargebacks & they told me they won't weigh it for shipping without me sending them the CC info & DL. Yet another shining example of the marine industry at it's finest.....
Anyway, if a local OSO'er is willing to pick it up & ship it all the way north to Ocala, I would gladly pay for it, plus something fair for your time. It certainly isn't worth my time to drive 8 hrs round trip to pick up a freaking fender, but apparently, they just don't care.
Thanks,
Andy

I'm sure they don't make their own fenders. There are trailer parts manufactorers. Post a pic of the fender. I was in a business for a while building trailers.
