Thumbs up Re: Anyone have Sirius Radio on the boat ?

Just got the SIRIUS Sporster,$70 after rebate,it comes with one docking station.I got an extra docking station for the boat for $40.I mounted it inside the cabin beside the stereo. It works great and makes it nice to just pop the main unit out of my dually when I get to the water and put it in the boat. You just pay one fee and can use it in any vehicle or at home with the home docking station.

I did the same but also got the boombox. What's cool is when your rafting and you have a portable unit 4 boats on either side of you can turn to the same station and recieve satilite from your reciever even if it's hard wired.

My sporster is no bigger that an XM unit. Also the sirius antennas are smaller.

Sirius programming
NFL
NCAA Football
NCAA Basketball
NBA
Nascar coming in 07
Howard coming
Maxim Radio
Boat World Radio
Margaritaville Radio soon

I got XM in my boat (fixed) I wish I had a portable one. I chose to use the IPOD and with over 4,000 songs on it, the only time I use XM is when I'm too lazy to plug in the IPOD.

I'm thinking of turning off the XM!

I have the Xact unit on my boat and I put it in the car in the winter time. It is down to $19 at Circuit city and it works great. It has both the FM and mini 3.5mm output (much better in the car but FM works fine in the boat).

Never tried XM
