Wish I had put 10 g's in it.
That's why we bought it! Got it a few years ago when it was around $1.50 (right before it plunged! ) and bought the XM when it was around $6.00.

Guys Please don't just take the salespersons word for it or the "Old School" wisdom, SAT signals today are a lot stronger than they used to be requiring smaller antennas and less "line of site" When was the last time you saw a 10' dish being installed in someones back yard

So with that said at least try it below dash before you mount it. I have three antennas under my dash, GPS Speedo, Chart Plotter and Sirius. They all work flawlessly!

My Sirius antenna is discreetly mounted on the front dash of my truck and my wifes is discreetly mounted on the rear deck area behind the back seat. Now if I could only get one to work in the house! Can you tell I like clean installs
We tried to mount the antennas below deck for the Sirius and the GPS's. They would NOT receive so we had to mount them on the deck. I know that on a non-kevlar boats they work below but they would not receive through the kevlar deck on the Extreme. My sirius ant. is also mounted on my truck dash board and it will cut in and out if it becomes obstructed by tree limbs or etc. Sirius told me that it needed to be mounted on a metal surface for a grounding plane?
