I think he means in spite of all their differences they were able to come to an agreement, and that is why they are now functioning as one group, that is at least for the next 10 years

Anyway back to the thread, contrary to what Doc may think thousands of people do plan their vacation around this. Talk to Key West business owners and most will tell you that the offshore week in 04 was their best week of the year, and that includes Fantasy Fest. If things go as planned this year the majority of the larger boats will not be there That means all the cool super cats, and many of the crowd favorites will be missing.

I think it is still early enough that with a little pressure we might get the powers to be, to rethink their decision and agree to race together. No matter how SBI will promote this, if all sanctioning bodies are not allowed to race, it will not be a true World event. It would be like the NBA if they said not players over 7' allowed.

If you don't plan on going to Key West, or are not a fan please try not to spoil it for those of us that enjoy the combination of the Key West sunsets, the roar of engines and the taste of Margaritas
