Default Boat purchase ,survey, offer etc

About to purchase a boat in the 30k range. Seems priced right and everything checks out fine after I looked at it.
Do I make an offer pending good survey and sea trial? Or do I have it surveyed and then make an offer? This is my first big boat purchase so forgive the ignorance.

you can make an offer pending good sea trial and survey with the intent to reduce the offer if problems are found...

There is still negotiating room even after the survey is complete. I would recommend this method because if you invest money into a survey you want to know if the money figures you think match the intentions of the seller...my 0.02

I agree, make an offer based on what's the most you will pay if everything checks out fine and that way if anything does show up then there is room to negotiate.
I have a feeling I know which one your looking at, if it is ...it seems like a good deal. Good luck JnT
