Question Insurance Question

Do any of you insurance guys know of a company that will insure my boat (47 Fountain) for fire/theft only? I don't plan on using it, it's in my garage at home. Looking to save some money.

I think somebody said this could be done on a post a long time ago, but I lost the info.

I dont see it as a problem, call any/all of them and get a quote.
The only problem you will have is if the bank has an interest in the boat, they are the ones you will have to talk to.

Try and put it under your homeowners policy. I have heard some people have done that.

I've heard that they will only insure the whole boat as if you were using it everyday. I tried and no one would do it. They told me no one will insure for in port only. Maybe they just wanted my 6k, so see if you have better luck then me. I was told they want the whole pkg so they can price it up there.

You should be able to insure it for fire/theft only. Check with your agent and see. Shop around.
