Blew Bravo 1 upper....your recommendation for replacement ?
After about 100 hours behind 500 inch BBC with 9-10 boost, my stock B1 upper blew, i.e. gear broke, locked & sheared shaft.
Upper totally destroyed. What do you recommed for replacement. I'm running IMCO lower shortie, B1 26p, 1:1.50, 5300 prm max. The Boat is used only on small lakes & rivers = I've never flown the boat & gotten the prop out of the water. Your experience / advise appreciated.........Larry |

Might want to check out Max Machine Worx in Lake Havasu Arizona, they build an incrediblibly strong Bravo replacement upper. Dollar Offshore in Florida is a dealer for them also.
Good Luck, don't skimp! Ray @ Raylar |

You are already running the Imco lower, why not put the Imco upper on it instead of mix matching your parts? Call Don at Triad, he's an Imco dealer
602-438-1361. He's given me some smokin deals on parts before. The previous post about the XZ uppers sound like a very good deal too. I think the Imco upper may be stronger but it won't be close to that price. My .02 is I would rather have a drive that matches if it were my dollar. Good luck, I've been there done that too, most of us with blower motors have........ |
