I read JC's shop manual and it said to just jam some duct tape in the coupler and it should be just fine again.

Similar thing happened to me on my Nova years back outside the Golden Gate.

Motor mount collapsed, caused engine/drive misalignment and spun coupler-towed in at 125.00 per hr by Sea Tow @ 5mph for 6 hours...ouch...Wife still reminds me on the expense not including yanking motor.

How much did you end up spending on the repair itself?

Ok so it is the coupler....Who in so cal do you guys recommend for this kind of work and knows what their talking about? I know the motor has to be properly aligned and check the motor mounts for sagging right?
