SOTW: Crossing from Chicago
 

Anyone looking for company going across tomorrow to Grand Haven, I'm going to be leaving from Diversey Harbor about noon, topping off at Northpoint and then heading across.
You can reach me on my cel 847-987-7717, or channel 16. We usually go down to channel 11 (one-one) after contact.

Bob, check the SOTW roll call thread someone mentioned looking for someone to cross with, I am glad you are not one of those whoosies, that trailer the whole way around :D Be safe. We will have a truck in GH so if you need anything let us know.

If you still have a seat one of the Chicago Powerboat club members needs a ride, and he is willing to pay.

Why are you going to Northpoint to top off? Theres a 24hr gas dock at Willmete by the Bahai Temple. Unless you're meeting up with another boat i wouldnt waste the gas going that far north.....just cross straight from there. We crossed from Diversey one year for Smoke......took about 2.5 hours at all sorts of speeds....gets weird when you dont see land for about 45min! :D
