You bring up a good point about the hull/deck seperation. Aren't those bonded on a 33ZX?? I wouldn't expect that from a boat that comes "out of the box" capable of low 80's, and with the Daytona package claimed 92mph

Think so, hard to tell from the photo. Would be interesting to see a close up photo of the adhesive bead between the cap and hull.

I had a Donzi and had it down to the shell, the hull/deck were bonded with screws and some glue. Not much there at all and many screws were stripped and were useless. I bet this was the side that ran down the sea wall and just wore it down to nothing. Can you imagine the horror of this guy watching his boat fly down the lake? The kill switch is there for a reason so use it or loose it...the boat that is, or worse.

Not sure how old the boat is. Mine had 2 hrs on it and the adhesive looked like this with erratic fasteners.

We where out there all day yesterday and luckily we didn't see this clown, Idiot's like this that make it harder for us boaters that just go out there to relax and have fun, Looks like that donzi isn't made that well, or is it just me. :eek:

Ya know it is nice how some jump to conclusions about what happened and it is nice to know that everyone on the board wears their kill switch everytime they drive their boat. Think I will wait till there is more info, granted the kill switch should have been on and would have eliminated a lot of possible other problems.
