I went to stamford sat. nite, and someone told me that the bay constables will hit me w/ a fine real quick. Are they that bad? and what is the law dB wise?

Hey Storm, I got hit in Old Saybrook a few weeks ago when I was on the fun run with Pat and Chris. I was idling out from the ramp and they pulled me over banged me with a 220 dollar ticket. The officer told me to make a copy of the ticket and keep it in the boat and they would not hit me for the rest of the season. It is all about the money...I am looking into the GGB mufflers but will run what I have for now..

I am lucky I haven't been hit this year.
The cops sit outside the marina's and wait for us to come out then nail you one by one.
These noise laws really suck!!!!!!!

T, that sux... I know i'm louder than i was, but compared to alot of guys here, im not. I guess i shouldn't have pimped my ride.

Anyone know what the target dB is?

And i've got clearance problems, but would do the GGBs if i could get them to fit.

I think it depends where you are. I am up in Glastonbury and I don't usually have any problems here (actually helps that the DEP boat is parked next to me). The DEP is usually busy with the PWC's around here. But I head down the river out to the sound often and get real nervous around all the sailboats down in essex. I feel like there's DEP hiding in there. I think the db law is 88 or 90. I know my boat is louder than that.

The law depends on the year of the boat. I can't remember what the split is but when I got stopped DEP said it was 90db at idle. I have a 2000. They also made switchable exhaust illegal in Ct.
