Default Bent steering piston

I didn't get any response in Q & A...

Great... bent one of the rams on my hydraulic steering, Marine Machine.
Is this fixable, or just replace the whole cylinder?
Is there anyone in particular to get this from? Not sure if fred sells MM.

It will more than likely have to be replaced. If the ram is bent everytime it recedes or extends it will wear the packing and a leak will occur.

The ram can be replaced but by time you have the casing checked and add on the labor it is cheaper to buy a new one.

I have a bad Mayfair cylinder on the Cig right now. Raised up the drives, which were not centered, the fitting hit the exhaust and snapped off the fitting. It also bent the ram.

Hey rob thanks!!! Pedro is the man.
I'll be shipping the cylinder to him tomorrow.
They need 1 day to fix and its coming back.
At about 1/3 - 1/4 the price of a new one.
