NYC Hot Spots

Hey
I am going to visit my women in brooklyn NYC this weekend. We want to find some cool offshore hang out spots around the general area. We thought about hitting fire island may-be.
We also thought about hitting the bar/resturant across from liberty landing. Any infor would be a help.

FI is a good spot.
If in NYC you could go to the Brewery at Chelsea Piers, not sure how many HP's you see though.

Are these places on fire island? We just decided not to go there since it sounds like to much of a pain in the a** to get there. Where just gonna hang around the nyc area/ where ever we can get by subway or cab. Well thanks for the help. I hope to see you guys out there runnin full tilt, I will have my camera ready.
P.S. I had to try like every other out of towner. If u give my girlfriend and i a ride we will chip in a 6-pack and $20 for gas. ha ha, just kidding!!! That's what every one offers my dad and I. Fore real though, if any one is looking for there long lost boating friends, we will be there.
