Tough call....definetly get a survey done. From the loosk of the hoses and the bolts on the supercharger ti doesnt look like they kept up with flushing or cleaning the engines with fresh water. :( 10hrs dont mean much if its been siting with salt water inside it the entire time....I would say if the hull is solid the price would depend on if the seller is willing to let you tear into the engine to see whats wrong. You may just find its something simple or in the worst case the engine is done from rust and needs a new one all together :(

Re: Project Bullet.

I'll take a stab.
Sounds like it needs quite a bit. No trailer, engine rebuild is questionable since one isn't running. Salt has eaten the motors up pretty good it looks like. The drives probably need to be rebuilt. Interior looks like it needs some work. All original dash panels and gauges. I'd say 20-25 grand?

Re: Project Bullet.

I do dig the colors.
Figure $8K/ engine for rebuild.
And another $2K for each drive.

So I'd guess your looking at 30-40K to get it up to par.
I'd try to see what a real nice one has gone for recently and subtract $35K from it. My numbers may be off, but this may be a good way to approach it.

Anyone know what craig223 got for his bullet?

Re: Project Bullet.

the numbers i came up with. let me know if im way off.

trailer = ~5000.00

new paint job including dash = ~10,000.00

new gauges = ~2000.00

new cockpit area/engine hatch vinyl = ~6000.00

correct props = 400.00 used

hydraulical stearing (needed with that much hp=~4000.00

misc. = 2000.00

cylinder head work "only" = ~2000.00

pull/paint/detail engines and bilge = ~4000.00

getting it to missouri = ~1000.00

rub rail = $200.00

total= $36,600.00 to get it reliable and pretty again

hopefully the transom and stringers are dry!!

After seeing some of the numbers to work on it, and what craigs boat, which was done, I'd agree w/ TSG's numbers.

Jamie B. 07-27-2005 12:43 PM

I was going to say no more than 25G.

Re: Project Bullet.

25 G's ........and an azzload of time and additional $$$. The owner needs a whooping if those engines have 10 hours on them. They look trashed to me!
