30 Motion O/B

I am looking at a 2001 30 Motion O/B - the boat is in great condition - I am just not familiar with these boats. Any one have one or have any comments (good or bad) regarding Motion boats, their quality, handling, etc?

I've only heard good things. A friend of a friends 30 Motion with T 300 Promaxes ('99) was running about 104-105. VERY nice boat but according to the owner was a little hard on the gear cases if pushed above 100. The boat supposedly handles awesome and is great bang for the buck. (Just my second hand knowledge on the boat. Hope it helps....)

Brad Zastro is the boards Motion expert. I believe that he currently has two of them. One is a 30 with tripple 280's.

I tried to buy one before I bought a 28 Skater. This boat was a 01 with 2.5's and quarter canopies. It was for sale through fastboats.com. Unfortunately, I did not give them a deposit and it sold the week before I was supposed to drive down to see it/buy it. The 30 motion is actually what spectre used for their 30, I know Jay worked at motion before he started spectre. I have a lot of good things about the boats. Not sure what the one you are looking at has for power but I know they run real close to the speeds of the 30 spectre.
