Re: New!!! Konrad 540 Bravo conversion
Good luck with these....I hope you deal a serious wakeup call to Merc. to lower their REDICULOUS PRICES :D

Re: New!!! Konrad 540 Bravo conversion
other than lasting longer, what preformance gains would you see over bravos, without boxes?

Re: New!!! Konrad 540 Bravo conversion
Looks cool. Any plans for an extension box for the other drives? (ie. TRS)

Re: New!!! Konrad 540 Bravo conversion
Yes, we already offer several other extension box systems with up to 14" of set back.

Re: New!!! Konrad 540 Bravo conversion
I have XR's with boxes. Would I loose speed if I switched to Konrad's? I was told the transmissions would take from 5-7mph off the top speed.
The boat is a 386 Sonic, 650hp 575 SCi's |

The boat is a 386 Sonic, 650hp 575 SCi's I'm not sure about the speed issue. The 540 HP lower is extremely efficient hydrodynamically. The was much R&D put into the development of this lower. You would be adding some weight over the existing Bravo package. A rough guess per side would be @ 130 lbs/side. |

Yes, we have been working on a shiftable drive. At this time we have a working prototype and it's proved to be extremely durable but it's a long way from production. Kurt |
