Default in absence of a gantry...

3 seasons...15 hours of run time, maybe...4 engines built...one runs...

The motor was pulled with the drive installed?

no...just pulled starboard engine,,,drive is removed

Yep, one of those Forrest for the trees things. I scrolled back n forth across those pics at least 3 times and missed it each time.

Do like the motor hook, have used similar before

first engine broke a cam shaft into 3 pieces. 15 minutes old (fresh build port engine) second engine took out 4 lobes on the cam shaft that then took out the main and fried the crank. (fresh build starboard) got 6 hours out of this 1
the rebuild starboard spun a main again. don't know why yet, but I have a few guesses. Got 7 hours out of this 1 New machine shop is involved now.

I would definatly change something in your recipe! New machine shop is a good place to start with! Good ( or better) luck next time!

2 motors ate up the cams? Seems rather odd. Same assembler each time?
