I need to find the owner and of a boat and all I have is registration #'s Is there any hope?

I know for a fact that some states (and I assume all, but can't say for sure) will sell the complete list of registered vessels in that state. Don't know if they do individual numbers, but anything is possible. Kinda like DMV, ten bucks for a license plate lookup... Call the marine registrar in the state you're interested in.

Call your local DMV office. It might vary by state but it can be done. I guess they want you to be serious about it, otherwise everyone who got cut off yesterday would be callin.
